This involves taking little bits of raw wool, the colored balls you see, and pounding them into a piece of felted wool. You pound on a piece of foam with long needles…you can see these on the left side of the picture. You can create all sorts of images just by shaping the raw wool. If you are a knitter, it is fun to try this with some of your wool yarns. Just unwind the yarn and break it into shorter strands–punch away.

How can I be making a snowman you ask…well Christmas in July of course! This will be a cute little gift topper come wrapping time in December!
