2 down, 3 to go

Daffy got a new friend last night.  Meet Chrysanthemum.  (I know a silly long name, but do you remember that children’s book about Chrysanthemum the mouse…)

She will be hanging out with Daffy in the crib once the project is complete.

For now, they are sitting on a pile of books.  The perfect place for two friends to hang out.

Project from Itty Bitty Nursery by Susan B. Anderson.

Someday…

I don’t knit very often, but when the weather turns cool I get the itch.  I love a good knitting shop where the wools and yarns make you feel so cozy and at home.  I started this project when some of my friends had new babies.  Yes, you caught me…this was actually supposed to be a gift…  :)   When I finished it, I decided that I would rather stick it in my hope chest for my someday baby.  000_2043

The pattern is very simple for a beginning knitter and comes from a darling book called Itty Bitty Nursery.
