Buy Fresh. http://www.ingridbarlow.com/buy-local-buy-fresh/ http://www.ingridbarlow.com/buy-local-buy-fresh/#comments Thu, 12 Feb 2009 04:23:24 +0000 IngridBarlow http://ingridbarlow.wordpress.com/?p=350 000_2260I have totally gone to all organic eggs now and I love it!  The difference is so obvious–I have found that organic eggs have a richer yolk, the egg stays more compact when you crack it, and the shell is harder.  Not to mention taste!  And how cool is milk in a glass bottle?!  I wash it when I’m done and then return it to the store so the farm can reuse them.  I encourage everyone to look for a local co-op in your town and check it out.  I think it is so cool to support local small farms and I think food gets to your plate in a purer form.  (whatever that means.)

I just got a card from my co-op that I get punches for if I bring my own bags or walk/bike to the store.  When it is full I get a cookie!  Totally worth it!
