Sweet Rewards

I was paint crazy today!  When I have a project that I am excited about, I am known to all out focus on it…perhaps obsess over it.  And of course this is not true with all projects–the thrill must be there for me.  This afternoon I painted our bedroom wall and the living room accent wall!  I am so pleased with it!  Tony helped me and he touched up a couple places in the kitchen.  I’m not posting pictures yet.  I want to get the finishing touches up before I show it.  ;)

Tonight Tony was watching Food Network on TV, and he saw this mouth watering chocolate cupcake recipe with peanut butter frosting.  (Two of Tony’s most favorite things.)  I told him if we had the ingredients I would make them for him.  They were very easy to make and oh so good.  The chocolate is not such a sweet chocolate, (we are not coffee drinkers so we skipped that ingredient), but the frosting is sweet, so it is a happy coupling.  Here is the recipe for anyone who wants to have a special treat.  Tony was in cupcake glory tonight…he forced himself to stop after 3.  I was good and only had 2…

Paint!

So I did it.  I picked out the paint for our house.  I could have spent months flip flopping, but I told myself that I just needed to pick them and get it over with.  So here’s what I came up with.

We are doing most of the house in a very light neutral tan, but we did want to add some of our own style as well.  The colors probably aren’t exactly what you see, but you get the idea.  We are doing a red/rust wall in our living room with the rest of the walls neutral.  The kitchen has the bright sage green accent with neutral, and the bedroom has a blueish/gray wall with neutral.  I think it will be good…I hope it will be good.  We did the kitchen neutral tonight and that will give me a couple days to decide if that is the same neutral I want in the living room.  I can’t wait to have it done!  I will show pictures of the rooms as they are complete.  Oh, and some of the best news–Tony decided that we should just buy a dish washer since my quality of life, and thus our marriage, seems to plummet drastically when I have to do them.
